Expressing serious concern over the large-scale armed clashes, which led to numerous casualties, Vladimir Putin urged both sides as a matter of urgency to ensure the full cessation of hostilities and compliance with a ceasefire regime.
It was noted that Russia is taking and will continue to take essential mediation steps to normalise the situation.
The importance of resuming talks between Yerevan and Baku within the OSCE Minsk Group format in the interest of a further search for ways towards a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue was also noted.
