The bilateral talks will focus primarily on expanding the two countries’ trade and economic ties, including greater cooperation in the energy sector.
The Russian and Azerbaijani presidents will also discuss current international and regional issues, the legal status of the Caspian Sea, and settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. A number of bilateral agreements are expected to be signed following the talks.
