Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The parties continued to discuss the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh and its further stabilisation in accordance with the Statements by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021. In particular, the two presidents had a detailed discussion on how to ensure peace, security and progressive socioeconomic development in the region as well as progress with the work to restore transport links. They also took into account the results of the Russian-Armenian summit talks held in Moscow on April 7.
It was agreed to maintain contacts in various formats.
