Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at the latter’s initiative.
The King of Bahrain congratulated Vladimir Putin on his re-election as President of the Russian Federation and wished him new successes in his state activities for the benefit of the Russian people.
During the conversation, that took place in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the leaders reaffirmed their mutual intention to continue their joint efforts on deepening mutually advantageous Russian-Bahraini cooperation in various areas – from trade and investment to environmental protection.
In turn, Vladimir Putin congratulated Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Bahraini people on the holy month of Ramadan.
The leaders agreed to maintain their personal contact.
