Vladimir Putin sent his profound condolences to President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff following a nightclub fire in Santa Maria that has caused much loss of life.
The President said in his message that it is especially tragic that most of the victims were young people.
Mr Putin asked Ms Rousseff to pass on his words of sympathy and support to the victims’ families and friends and his wishes for a speedy recovery to all who were injured.
