Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on Setting the Prices (Rates) for Natural Gas Supplies to the Republic of Belarus and Natural Gas Transit via Pipelines in the Republic of Belarus.
The Agreement was signed in Moscow on November 25, 2011 and aims to create equitable conditions for the operation of Russian and Belarusian business entities.
The agreement sets gas prices for Belarus in 2012, defines the pricing formula for subsequent years, and sets the rules for tariff calculations for natural gas transportation and transit across Belarusian territory for foreign and domestic consumers.
