The President of Russia’s message reads, in part:

“This wonderful festival held on the hospitable Belarusian land has long crossed over the borders of the Slavic world, gaining a reputation of one of the most significant events in the cultural life of CIS member states.

The festival’s popularity is constantly growing. For many talented singers, composers, poets, artists, actors and directors, it serves as an excellent platform for perfecting their professional skills; and for millions of spectators, it is a wonderful opportunity to experience some of the finest examples of performing arts and appreciate the creative, friendly atmosphere for which the Slavyansky Bazar in Vitebsk has always been known.

I am confident that this year’s festival will be remembered for the outstanding, unforgettable memories it creates and lively, interesting exchanges, promoting the further mutual enrichment of different national cultures.”
