Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the initiative of the Belarusian side.
The discussion covered a number of pressing issues pertaining to political, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The two leaders confirmed their mutual intent to further develop the strategic partnership and alliance.
Agreement was reached on a schedule of forthcoming summit meetings.
