April 2, 2021

Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the Day of Unity between the Peoples of Russia and Belarus.

“A quarter of a century ago, Russia and Belarus signed the Treaty Establishing the Union State, which became the first significant step towards integration between our countries. Over that period, our countries have done a lot to strengthen bilateral ties. The Union State mechanisms ensure a high level of cooperation between Russia and Belarus in political, trade, economic, humanitarian and many other spheres. Moscow and Minsk are coordinating efforts in the international arena, making a significant contribution to ensuring stability and security across Eurasia,” the Russian President said in his message.

Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Russia and Belarus will continue productive work to develop the entire range of constructive allied relations.
