The message reads, in part:

“I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Unity between the Peoples of Russia and Belarus, a holiday that symbolises the unbreakable bonds of fraternal friendship, and the cultural, spiritual and moral values that unite Russians and Belarusians.

Thanks to our joint efforts, the Union State is the driver of integration processes in the Eurasian space. To date, we have fully ensured the equal rights of citizens of Russia and Belarus in healthcare, education, social protection and pension provision, as well as in choosing a place of residence and work. We gradually implement coordinated programmes of economic, scientific and technological development and expand inter-parliamentary interaction and cooperation between regions and cities.

It is important that in the current difficult conditions we are ensuring reliable security and strengthening the defence capabilities of the Union State, as well as effectively coordinating our actions in the international arena.

I am sure that together we will overcome all difficulties and obstacles and continue our work to build up allied ties between Russia and Belarus. This undoubtedly meets the fundamental interests of our fraternal peoples.”
