The President of the Republic of Belarus held an official welcoming ceremony for the President of Russia prior to the start of the consultations at the Palace of Independence. During the ceremony, the leaders introduced the members of their delegations.

The talks began with a conversation in a restricted format, followed by expanded-format talks. The participants discussed the development of Russia-Belarus strategic partnership and alliance, integration cooperation within the Union State and current international issues.

After Russia-Belarus talks Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko answered questions from journalists.
