Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Federal Council of the Swiss Confederation Simplifying the Issue of Visas to the Citizens of the Russian Federation and the Swiss Confederation.
The agreement is aimed at liberalising the regime of mutual travel by citizens of the two countries, envisages simplified procedures for the issue of single entry visas of up to three months, as well as multiple entry visas for certain categories of citizens, introduces uniform visa fees, and regulates visa processing deadlines.
The agreement was signed in Bern on September 21, 2009.
