Vladimir Putin congratulated Michelle Bachelet on her election as President of the Republic of Chile.
In a message of congratulations, Mr Putin said that Ms Bachelet’s convincing victory in the election testifies to her influence and to the trust her fellow Chileans place in her. The President assessed highly the constructive and mutually advantageous nature of Russian-Chilean relations and said he hopes for their continued development.
Mr Putin also congratulated Ms Bachelet on the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.
