Event announcement for September 2–3, 2015
The Russian and Chinese presidents will hold talks at which they will discuss current matters related to developing bilateral ties, particularly as concerns implementing the agreements reached during Mr Xi’s visit to Russia in May and the meeting on the sidelines of the BRICS and SCO summits in Ufa in July this year.
Mr Putin and Mr Xi will also exchange views on current international and regional issues, opportunities for deepening cooperation within the UN, G20, APEC and other international organisations, and coordinating the Eurasian Economic Union’s development with that of the Silk Road Economic Belt project.
Bilateral agreements will be signed during the visit.
While in China, Mr Putin also plans to hold a number of bilateral meetings with leaders of other countries, who will be in Beijing to take part in the anniversary celebrations.
