At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Mr Putin is in China on a two-day visit.
The President will meet with Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang to exchange views on current international and regional issues, prospects for deepening cooperation with the UN, G20, APEC and other international organisations, and coordinating the Eurasian Economic Union with the Silk Road Economic Belt project.
On September 3, Mr Putin will attend the events commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Chinese people’s victory in the War of Resistance against Japan and the end of World War II. Russian-Chinese talks and a number of international bilateral meetings are also scheduled.
