Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the tenth plenary session of the Sino-Russian Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“The Committee is an important dialogue mechanism between broad sections of the public in our countries. Over the last two decades, it has built up considerable experience in productive cooperation between academic institutions, business associations, journalists’ unions, student, youth, women’s, environmental and sports organisations, and regional and local authorities.
The Committee makes an active contribution towards expanding the social base of our countries’ comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation and strengthening trust and understanding between our peoples. I hope that this plenary session will see new ideas and initiatives to further develop our bilateral cooperation in socioeconomic, science and technology, humanitarian and other fields.”
The Sino-Russian Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development is an interstate non-governmental organisation that receives support from both countries’ governments. It brings together representatives of public, political and business circles, cultural figures, diplomats and journalists.
