Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum, which has opened in Beijing.
The message reads, in part:
“Russian-Chinese relations of strategic partnership are on the rise. Energy cooperation, which has recently gained considerable momentum, is an important part of these relations.
Russian and Chinese energy companies have many common interests, as evidenced by the forum’s packed and diverse agenda, which includes cooperation in the oil, gas and coal sectors, power generation, investment, research and technology, as well as environmental protection.
I am confident that the forum participants, including representatives of Russian and Chinese state agencies, leading energy corporations, banks and the expert community, will map out new formats for mutually beneficial cooperation.”
