The President’s message reads, in part:

“Our countries have longstanding ties of friendship, mutual understanding and sympathy. Relations between our countries are showing steady growth today and we are making good progress in developing our political dialogue and expanding our trade and economic and humanitarian ties.

I hope that Costa Rica’s leadership will continue to create the conditions for a long-term partnership between our countries that we can keep building in the future.

At the same time, we think that we could make more intensive use of our cooperation opportunities. I am sure that active search for and development of promising joint projects in diverse economic sectors will contribute to this growth. Establishing direct contacts between our business communities would be a big help in this work together.”
