Vladimir Putin met with President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, who is in Russia on an official visit.
Following the talks, the two presidents signed the Russia-Cyprus Joint Action Plan for 2015–2017.
The two leaders also witnessed the signing of intergovernmental agreements on cooperation to combat drug trafficking and terrorism, and an agreement on defence cooperation. A cooperation programme in science, education and culture for 2015–2018 was signed, as were a memorandum on naval cooperation and memorandums of understanding on economic, science and technology cooperation.
Mr Putin and Mr Anastasiades made press statements and answered journalists’ questions.
