Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus on Avoiding Double Taxation with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital of December 5, 1998.
The Protocol was signed in Nicosia on September 8, 2020.
The provisions of the Protocol determine the procedure for taxing income from the dividends and interest income, applying a tax rate of up to 15 percent.
