Presentation by foreign ambassadors of their letters of credence

Dmitry Medvedev received letters of credence from eight new ambassadors to the Russian Federation from Germany, Egypt, the Republic of Korea, Mauritania, Panama, Sudan, Thailand, and Uzbekistan.

Presentation of letters of credence marks the official beginning of foreign ambassadors’ work in Russia.

President Medvedev received letters of credence from:

Sidi Mohammed Uld Taleb Amar – the Islamic Republic of Mauritania,

Julio Ernesto Cordoba de Leon – the Republic of Panama,

Lee Yun-ho – the Republic of Korea,

Mohammed Alaa Eldin A. Shawky Elhadidi – the Arab Republic Of Egypt,

Chalermpol Thanchitt – the Kingdom of Thailand,

Mohammed Hussein Hassan Zarug – the Republic of the Sudan,

Ziyadulla Pulatkhodzhaev – the Republic of Uzbekistan,

Ulrich Brandenburg – the Federal Republic of Germany.

The presentation ceremony was also attended by Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Presidential Aide Sergei Prikhodko.
