Mr Grinin who was previously Russia’s ambassador to Poland is about to begin his mission as Russia’s ambassador to Germany.
Mr Medvedev signed the order on his appointment on June 21, 2010.
* * *
President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev: Mr Grinin, you will soon begin your mission in Germany. I wish you success. Germany is one of our most important partners in Europe, a country with which we have multifaceted strategic relations, and with whose leadership we have regular contact and full-fledged discussion of all European and international issues. Much therefore depends on the ambassador’s work in this context.
Given your experience and the fact that you have already served more than one diplomatic mission in Germany in the past, I am confident that you will be able to continue this work and that we will continue to build effective relations with Germany’s leadership, with the Federal Chancellor and all of the different political forces in order to make our ties fruitful and productive. I wish you success in this work.
Russian Ambassador To Germany Vladimir Grinin: Thank you for your trust. I will do my best to live up to it.
