The President signed Federal Law Ratifying the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Djibouti on the Extradition of Criminals.
The Agreement was signed in Moscow on August 27, 2025.
The Agreement stipulates that the parties shall commit to extraditing, at each other’s request, persons present in the territory of one of the parties for criminal prosecution or the enforcement of a sentence for crimes that warrant extradition.
Extradition may be refused if the requested party beleives that the extradition of a person could prejudice its sovereignty, security, public order or other essential interests.
