Russian-Algerian talks were held at the El Mouradia presidential palace, addressing the development of industrial cooperation, investment projects, and military and technical cooperation.
Dmitry Medvedev and Abdelaziz Bouteflika also discussed current international and regional issues.
Following the talks, a number of documents aimed at promoting interaction in the economic, energy, and sea transport sectors, in standardisation and conformity assessment, and the humanitarian sector were signed in the presence of both presidents.
At the end of the visit the two presidents issued a joint statement.
During the visit, Dmitry Medvedev also met with President of Algeria’s Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah, Speaker of Algerian National People's Assembly Abdelaziz Ziari, and Prime Minister of Algeria Ahmed Ouyahia.
Earlier in the day, the President of Russia visited the Museum of Fighters for Algeria Independence and laid a wreath at the monument to the heroes killed in action during the Algerian war of independence.
