Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Vladimir Putin shared his impressions following his recent visit to the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as talks with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran held in Moscow.
The leaders discussed a number of issues related to Russian-Egyptian cooperation, which has been developing very successfully. Both parties expressed their interest in further expanding cooperation in various areas in a traditionally friendly manner based on the principles of strategic partnership.
The President of Russia thanked Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for his assistance in evacuating Russian citizens and members of their families, as well as delivering humanitarian aid from Russia to the Gaza Strip, and wished him success in the upcoming presidential election in Egypt.
