The visit, which is at the invitation of President of Finland Sauli Niinisto, coincides with the 60th anniversary of twin-city ties between St Petersburg and Turku.
The two presidents will hold a summit during the visit, during which they will discuss the implementation of the agreements reached during their last meeting, and exchange views on continued development of bilateral relations, in particular trade and economic ties, investment and energy sector relations, and cultural and humanitarian contacts.
Also on the agenda will be Russian-Finnish cooperation within the Russia-EU partnership, international organisations, and regional organisations in the Baltic region, northern Europe, and the Arctic.
