At France’s initiative, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of France Francois Hollande.
The two heads of state exchanged views on the crisis in Ukraine, including on the possibilities for activating international efforts to help settle the situation. They agreed to continue the discussion, in particular during a planned visit to Moscow by the French foreign and defence ministers on March 18.
