Dmitry Medvedev signed a law ratifying a merchant shipping agreement between Russia and Greece.
The federal law ratifies the Russian-Greek intergovernmental agreement on merchant shipping, signed in Athens on December 6, 2001.
The agreement regulates shipping policy issues and sets the terms for the presence of ships and their crews and cargo on each country’s territory.
Once the new agreement enters into force, the old agreement between the Greek and Soviet governments of December 16, 1975, ceases to have effect.
