The President signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement on Basic Principles of Relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Honduras.
The Agreement was signed in Tegucigalpa on February 28, 2017.
According to the Agreement, the Parties will build their relations as friendly states based on full compliance with the UN Charter, principles of the sovereign equality of states, territorial integrity and non-interference in internal affairs as well as other generally accepted principles of international law.
According to the Agreement, the Parties will cooperate within the framework of the UN and other international organisations and forums in order to promote peace as well as global and regional security and stability and provide for the socioeconomic development and prosperity of their peoples.
According to the Agreement, the Parties will cooperate in countering new challenges and threats in global security, including international terrorism in all forms, illegal trafficking of drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, and cross-border organised crime.
