Meeting with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban

February 1, 2022, The Kremlin, Moscow

Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban had a brief meeting following their joint news conference.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Thank you very much for finding time to come here.

In my view, the meeting was very productive. I should say it was unprecedented both in terms of duration and its results because we actually addressed the issues you raised. Importantly, they are practically all solvable.

Thank you very much again, and I wish you all the best!

I am sorry that we have to keep our distance while communicating due to restrictions. However, it did not prevent us from discussing all issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban (retranslated): Thank you very much.

We have discussed all issues. I am very satisfied with the progress in Russian-Hungarian relations.

Hungary is a country of totally different dimension than Russia. Obviously, issues of global politics can be resolved only by big countries. However, I really hope that we did manage to make a contribution to strengthening peace and reaching agreements.

Vladimir Putin: Thank you very much.

See you again! We will always be in contact.
