At Israel’s initiative, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.
The two leaders discussed the situation with the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and other current issues on the regional agenda, including talks on the Iranian nuclear programme and the situation in Syria.
Mr Putin and Mr Netanyahu agreed to continue a regular exchange of views on matters of mutual interest.
