The President said, in particular, in his telegram:

“You are deservedly considered one of the world’s most influential politicians. Your successful work as President of Israel and in other high state posts attests to this. It would be hard to overestimate your personal contribution to developing the friendly ties between our countries.

I confirm my readiness to continue our constructive dialogue and work together to further strengthen all areas of Russian-Israeli relations for the benefit of our peoples and in the interest of ensuring stability and security in the Middle East.”
