Dmitry Medvedev sent his condolences to Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh over the loss of life caused by railway accidents in the states of Assam and Uttar Pradesh.
The President said, in particular, in his telegram:
“I was deeply grieved to learn of the considerable loss of life caused by railway accidents in the states of Assam and Uttar Pradesh.
I express my sincere condolences and I share the Indian people’s grief and sorrow.
I ask you to please pass on my condolences to the victims’ families and pass on my wishes for a speedy recovery to all who were injured.”
