Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of India on the Transfer of Convicts.
The Agreement was signed in Moscow on October 21, 2013.
The Agreement aims to create the international legal base for Russian-Indian cooperation on transferring persons sentenced to terms of imprisonment to the country of which they are a citizen, to continue serving their sentences.
