The message reads, in part:

“Over the past decades, Russia and India have accumulated a significant potential for mutually beneficial cooperation. We have established a constructive political dialogue and are working together on large-scale projects in trade, the economy, energy, science, technology, infrastructure and culture.

Moscow and Delhi hold close positions on key issues of the global and regional agenda and are successfully coordinating efforts within such multilateral structures as the UN and  Background information BRICS BRICS. Working together, our countries are making a marked contribution to the fight against terrorism, extremism, trans-border crime and other topical issues.

I believe that the further consolidation of this privileged strategic partnership serves the interests of the Russian and Indian peoples, and strengthens international stability and security.”
