Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, at the initiative of the Indian side.
The Prime Minister of India congratulated Vladimir Putin on the successful completion of the nationwide vote on amendments to the Russian Constitution.
The President of Russia thanked the Prime Minister for his greetings and for the participation of the Indian Armed Forces in the Victory Parade on Red Square on June 24.
The two leaders discussed topical issues on the Russian-Indian agenda and confirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening the privileged strategic partnership between the two countries and close cooperation both in the bilateral format and within international organisations and associations.
It was agreed to continue contacts at various levels.
