Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to President of India Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on the occasion of India’s national holiday, Independence Day.
The message reads, in part:
“The success achieved by your country in the economy, science, technology, the social sphere and other areas is widely recognised. India enjoys well-deserved international prestige and plays an important, constructive role in international affairs.
We attach great importance to our relations and specially privileged strategic partnership with New Delhi. I am confident that through joint efforts we will continue building up our productive bilateral cooperation in all sectors as well as our constructive partnership in addressing current regional and global issues. There is no doubt that this meets the fundamental interests of our friendly nations and contributes to strengthening security and stability on the planet.”
