Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Kassan Rouhani on the Iranian side’s initiative.
The phone call addressed the situation concerning the Iranian nuclear programme. The leaders noted the significant progress achieved in the recently completed “Sextet” meeting at the foreign minister level in Vienna. The heads of state stressed the importance of continuing constructive cooperation with the aim of finalising talks on Iran’s nuclear programme and preparing a corresponding agreement.
The Presidents also discussed current issues in key areas of bilateral cooperation, including implementation of joint projects.
