The Russian President will visit Italy at the invitation of his Italian counterpart Giorgio Napolitano to take part in the opening ceremony of the Year of Russian Culture and Language in Italy and the Year of Italian Culture and Language in Russia.
During his visit, Dmitry Medvedev will hold talks with Giorgio Napolitano and Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi.
Following the official visit to Italy, the Russian President will meet Pope Benedict XVI in the Vatican.
