Dmitry Medvedev: Your Majesty,
I am pleased to welcome you to Sochi. This is already our third meeting in the last six months and this is a sign of the very intensive contacts between Russia and Jordan and the warm and full-fledged relations that exist between our countries.
Our economic relations are developing and our trade ties are growing, though we would all like to see them become even more intensive. Our cultural and humanitarian ties are also growing. Your Majesty is also to thank for this development. We are developing our dialogue on all issues, including on current international issues.
I would like to thank Your Majesty separately for your plans to provide humanitarian aid to South Ossetia following the disaster that has taken place in this region.
I think we will discuss all of these issues.
Abdullah II: Thank you very much, Mr President,
You are quite right: this is our third meeting in a relatively short space of time. I am sure that this is yet further confirmation of the importance of the relations between our countries.
Our relations are of strategic importance. I hope for a fruitful exchange of views with you, and I hope we will be able to coordinate our positions on the most important problems we face today.
As far as our bilateral relations go, our political dialogue is at a high level and is active as never before. This applies to our economic contacts, which are also developing, and which have very good prospects for the future.
Overall, I think that Russia and Jordan have very good prospects for the coming months and years. I will always be happy to receive you in Jordan. You are always a long-awaited guest in our country.
