Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and Japan on Mutual Legal Assistance on Criminal Cases.
The Agreement is aimed at regulating Russian-Japanese relations on issues of mutual legal assistance on criminal cases and establishing a regulatory framework for bilateral cooperation in criminal law, as well as protecting the rights and lawful interests of both nations’ citizens.
The agreement was signed in Tokyo on May 12, 2009.
