Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan on Settling the Republic of Kyrgyzstan’s Debt to the Russian Federation under Earlier Accorded Loans.
The agreement was signed in Bishkek on September 20, 2012. It was drafted following agreements reached during a Russian delegation’s visit to Kyrgyzstan and was fixed in the protocol of Kyrgyzstani-Russian talks on Kyrgyzstan’s debts to Russia, signed on August 15, 2012.
The agreement provides for a revision of repayment and servicing conditions for two loans accorded to Kyrgyzstan by Russia, the total debt on which came to $488.9 million as at September 1, 2012.
