Vladimir Putin spoke by telephone with President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev to congratulate him on his birthday.
The President also sent Mr Atambayev a telegram in which he said, in particular:
“Your responsible work as head of state has earned you the respect of your compatriots and a high reputation in the Central Asian region and beyond. You have made a big personal contribution to strengthening the friendly relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
I value greatly the mutual understanding and trust that we have established. I hope to continue our constructive dialogue and joint work, including on Kyrgyzstan’s involvement in the Eurasian integration project.”
