Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants of the Fifth Russian-Kyrgyz Interregional Conference underway in Ufa, Bashkortostan.

“This forum is distinctive because the Republic of Kyrgyzstan has joined the Eurasian Economic Union, which offers us new opportunities to strengthen our strategic partnership, expand the geography of interregional cooperation and look for promising areas of our future joint work.

We will focus on a range of issues related to deepening our trade and economic ties, improving the investment climate and implementing promising projects in the industry, tourism, agriculture, culture, research and youth exchanges.

I hope the ideas you will work on and your proposals will help improve the mechanisms of our economic cooperation and strengthen mutual understanding between our nations.”
