September 18, 2014

Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma for ratification the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan on Military-Technical Cooperation, signed in Moscow on December 24, 2013.

The Agreement’s provisions set out procedures for organising supplies of military goods to the two countries’ national armed forces, armed forces units, law enforcement agencies and special services. Under the Agreement’s terms, the two countries benefit from a preferential cooperation regime in developing, manufacturing, operating, repairing, modernising and extending the service life of arms and military equipment, as well as processing decommissioned arms and military equipment.
