On Kazakhstan’s initiative, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The two presidents discussed a number of international and regional issues, including the establishment of a broad coalition to fight terrorist and extremist groups, especially ISIS.
With preparations underway for the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting on December 21, Mr Putin and Mr Nazarbayev also discussed the entry into force of the economic part of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.
