The President signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Trade and Economic Cooperation in Oil and Oil Product Supply to the Republic of Kazakhstan, dated December 9, 2010.
The Protocol was signed in Moscow on October 3, 2018.
The Protocol provides that, based on the respective state legislation, the competent authorities of the parties determine a list of oil products prohibited or restricted for export from the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as a list of oil products prohibited or restricted for export from the Republic of Kazakhstan outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. These lists are to be approved by the parties’ competent authorities until an indicative balance is provided for by the Agreement.
