Vladimir Putin will meet on October 9, 2012, with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who will be visiting Moscow at Mr Putin’s invitation. 

Vladimir Putin received letters of credence from twenty one new ambassadors to the Russian Federation. Presentation of letters of credence marks the official beginning of foreign ambassadors’ work in Russia.

Vladimir Putin will visit the city of Pavlodar in Kazakhstan on September 19, 2012 to take part, together with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, in the IX Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum.

Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

In a telephone conversation, Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on his birthday and wished him continued success in his state work.

Vladimir Putin and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev held talks in Astana. A set of documents was signed following the meeting; in particular, the presidents signed a Protocol on Amendments to the 1992 Agreement on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, which extends the agreement for ten years, taking into account the new realities of political and economic integration between Russia and Kazakhstan.

Vladimir Putin signed the law On Ratification of Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Provision of Medical Care to the Personnel of the Baikonur Space Centre, the residents of Baikonur, Toretam and Akai as part of the Russian Federation’s rental agreement of the Baikonur Space Centre.

In the next few days, Vladimir Putin will make a series of foreign visits.

Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev discussed current bilateral relations and integration development, in particular within the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Community.

Vladimir Putin congratulated the leaders of the CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia and the people of Georgia on the 67^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Nursultan Nazarbayev, Dmitry Medvedev and Barack Obama commented on the joint statement on trilateral cooperation on the former Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.

A summit of the Eurasian Economic Community Interstate Council and Supreme Eurasian Economic Council took place at the Grand Kremlin Palace.

Dmitry Medvedev and Nursultan Nazarbayev discussed a number of issues pertaining to Russian-Kazakhstani relations.
