Dmitry Medvedev sent his congratulations to Acting President of Moldova and Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Mihai Ghimpu on Moldova’s Independence Day holiday.
The message reads, in part:
”Our peoples share longstanding traditions of friendship and trust, of spiritual and cultural closeness. Russia has always supported Moldova’s development as a sovereign and neutral state, and we are ready to continue our constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation in the interests of regional stability.“
