The telegram reads, in part:

“I was shocked by the tragic news of the plane crash at the Tripoli airport, which has taken dozens of lives of Dutch citizens.

Please accept my deepest condolences and please convey my words of sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims.”

An Airbus 330 disintegrated today on landing in the Libyan capital Tripoli claiming the lives of 103 people on board including 62 Dutch nationals.
